Ozone
Ozone offers exceptional protection against waterborne pathogens like Cryptosporidium, E. coli, Giardia, cysts, and fungi. Unlike chlorine, ozone (O3) decomposes into simple oxygen, eliminating disinfection byproducts that can irritate bathers and staff. It reduces irritation and chlorine odours in indoor pools and minimises backwashing of filters, reducing water wastage. Ozone is a potent oxidant and disinfectant, surpassing chlorine in effectiveness. With a Waterlink commercial ozone system, aquatic facilities create a healthier environment and enhance water quality, providing patrons with a more enjoyable swimming experience.
UV
UV systems effectively neutralise a broad spectrum of pathogens while achieving a documented reduction in combined chlorine levels. Utilising an Ultraviolet light which is a chemical-free treatment process that ensures a safe and hygienic swimming environment. With a low operating cost, they can treat thousands of litres of pool water inexpensively. A UV system delivers noticeably clearer, softer water therefore enhancing the overall swimming experience for both bathers and staff by eliminating over 99% of pathogens, while significantly decreasing the amount of chlorine needed for pool maintenance.
